Erick Bluske

ORCHESTRA/WOODWORK TEACHER & ENGLISH/MATH TUTOR

Erick Bluske moved from California to Texas with his family to be a class teacher for 5th & 6th Grade. He and his wife have two children who are 10 and 17 years old. Mr. Bluske studied music and math for six years at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal State Northridge. He taught orchestra, band, music history, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry at Highland Hall Waldorf School for over 30 years. He was even a teacher to one of our parents when they attended Highland Hall as a child. Mr. Bluske is a student of Anthroposophy and he was a faculty member of the Waldorf Institute of Southern California for teacher education. Mr. Bluske also held several positions with San Fernando Symphony including principal flutist, piccolo player, alto saxophonist, and guest composer/conductor. Among his many musical and mathematical talents are those for woodworking and he is delighted to offer woodworking to our students.
