Indra Lively-Hatcher

Daisy Preschool, Lead Teacher

Indra Lively-Hatcher is originally from the Pacific Northwest, born and raised in Olympia, Washington. Indra has a BA from The Evergreen State College where she majored in Performing Arts with an emphasis on classical Odissi dancing and East Indian culture studies. She completed her Foundation Year at Sound Circle Center in Seattle and graduated from the Waldorf Teacher Institute of Chicago. Indra has experience in many capacities within Waldorf schools including committee work, substituting in all grades, aftercare and summer camp roles, as well as being a Waldorf graduate herself. Before committing to the Waldorf method, Indra spent a year abroad teaching English in Thailand and traveling around Southeast Asia. As a world traveler Indra loves to share these experiences with her children through movement and storytelling. In addition to being a lifelong scholar of anthroposophy and Waldorf curriculum, Indra is also a student of woodworking, astrology, yoga, and the German language. The 2023/24 school year will mark Indra’s fourth year lead teaching and seventh year overall in a Waldorf Early Childhood classroom. 

In 2022, Indra relocated to Texas to serve the children and community of Living Oaks’ as our Lead Kindergarten Teacher.
