Sky Melcer

1st  GRADE TEACHER 

Sky Melcer is a passionate advocate for Waldorf Education and has dedicated over 13 years to working in this field. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Sky attended the Austin Waldorf School from kindergarten through early high school. With a deep-rooted connection to Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy, Sky's experience includes serving as both an assistant and a lead teacher in Waldorf early childhood classrooms.

In July 2022, Sky received her Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher Certification from Sunbridge, showcasing her commitment to providing high-quality education. Recently, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona Global Campus, where she obtained a BA in Early Childhood Education.

Sky's enthusiasm for languages shines through as she is fluent in ASL and proficient in Spanish and loves to bring these into her classrooms. She is devoted to supporting children and fostering their curiosity about the world around them. In her free time, Sky enjoys being part of a book club and going on swimming adventures with her dog, Beans. In 2022, she began leading an Anthroposophical Peer Study Group for Sunbridge Cohort.

Sky Melcer is excited to embark on her new journey at Living Oaks, where she can continue to share her passion for learning and inspire young minds, and she looks forward to getting to know the Living Oaks families and community.
